Favorite Animal Quilt Challenge 2024

QGET Fall 2024 Quilt Challenge – “Your Favorite Animal(s)”

Welcome to our newest QGET quilt challenge! This challenge will start in May 2024 and your completely finished quilts will be turned in at the November 2024 Guild Meeting. Our members will vote on their favorite and 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd prizes will be awarded. Here are the rules:

1.  You will receive a fat quarter of fabric that must be included somewhere in your quilt. Use as much or as little of the fabric as you like. We ask that you donate $3 for this fat quarter, and the money will be used for prizes.
2.  Your quilt must include an animal…any animal you want, hot or cold blooded, local or from around the world!
3. You can use any technique you like, traditional piecing, appliqué, art quilting, paper piecing, etc. Your animal could be printed on fabric you use. You may embellish your quilt or use nontraditional materials. You may feature more than one animal on your quilt. Just be aware that this is a QUILT challenge, NOT a stuffed animal challenge.
4.  Your quilt should measure (adding all four sides) between 50 inches to 200 inches. It is not necessary to have a sleeve on your quilt for this contest, but you can add one if desired.
