Stitch and Share in a Small Group/ Bee 

The QGET organizes quilting bees for our members to promote our love of quilting and enhance community among members. You can see all the Bees on and days they meet on our calendar below.

Our Bee Coordinator will connect members with potential Small Group/Bee Host .  Potential members can decide if they want to join.   Small Groups/Bees may vary in size based on the space available.

Keep in mind that a CLOSED bee merely indicates that the bee has reached capacity for membership for different reasons. Perhaps the bee meets in members home and there is only room for a certain number of people or the facility they meet at has limitation on workspace or tables.

    The Activity Center is in the back of the complex. Just follow the road around until you see the Activity Center. Please bring your lunch (or there are restaurants about 3 minutes from us) and your drinks for the day. There is a refrigerator and microwave for our use. Also, please bring an extension cord for your sewing machine and your current project. Come sew with us and have a great day of fellowship with fellow quilters! Looking forward to seeing you.

       Originally started out as an applique group working on Baltimore album quilts.  We have morphed into a group that enjoys all sorts of handwork.  Our group is open because we meet in the Craft Room of First Baptist Church downtown (4th floor, education building) and it is big, cool, and well-lit.  We meet the first Thursday of the month at 9:30, stitch awhile, and then those who can go to lunch together.   We teach each other a lot.
