In this workshop, participants will learn how to correctly disassemble, clean, and reassemble their beloved Featherweights. Yes, they will sew (and sew beautifully) when you are done!! There is MUCH more to maintenance than merely oiling the machine. This is a comprehensive workshop in which all aspects of routine mechanical maintenance are addressed - including motor, and foot controller.
Nova approaches this workshop from the perspective of a Featherweight user who wants to preserve and protect their machine but does not have an intricate knowledge of the mechanical workings of the machine. She guides her students through correct maintenance while educating them about their wonderful machines. Nova not only teaches her students the "What" and "How", but also the "Why" of each step of proper maintenance. "She is a master teacher!"
Supply list:
This is a maintenance workshop for functioning sewing machines, not a repair workshop for machines that are not functioning well. If your machine is not sewing well, you will need to schedule a time with Nova prior to the class for her to repair it.
Class Fee - $65.00 Member, $95.00 Non-Member
Note: Several parts and accessories for Featherweights will be available for purchase at class . Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Outside parts will not be installed in class.
